Alive Together: Uniting to Prevent Suicide is a community walk/run dedicated to raising critical support and awareness for Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services’ Suicide Prevention Center. Funds raised at the event support our mission to provide life-saving mental health services and reduce the devastating impact of suicide on individuals, families, and communities. Inspirational speakers will share stories and support alongside our beloved memorial quilts and banners, memory trees, a resource fair, and other community-building activities.
Didi Hirsch’s renowned Suicide Prevention Center was the first of its kind in the US and is an international leader in training, research and crisis services. Our 24/7 call center answered a total of 590,248 calls, chats and texts from individuals facing mental health crises over the last three years. We trained over 22,000 community members in how to recognize and respond to the warning signs of suicide and provided counseling and support groups to 1,200 people. Our pioneering Survivors of Suicide Attempts group model has been shared with over 3,100 clinicians in all 50 states and 58 countries.
