This symposium will help nonprofits understand corporate donors’ philanthropic plans and in so doing, will approach the company most likely to support their cause.

Corporate decision makers will speak about awarding grants, investing in sponsorships, building employee volunteerism/workplace giving programs and creating cause marketing projects.

This session discusses how companies have adapted their corporate giving to address social justice. U.S. Bank’s VP of Community Affairs Manager (WA/ID) Nicole Bascomb-Green, presents how the Bank went to an invite-only giving scenario by asking nonprofits that are BIPOC led serving the BIPOC LMI community to apply for grants.

The travel sector has been hard hit by the pandemic. Speakers from this sector will talk about their business during Covid, how they adjusted their community outreach and what they have planned for when we get ‘back to normal’. Construction companies are not usually thought of as being the epitome of good corporate citizenship as the nature of their business is hard on the environment. There is a firm that is trying to create the gold standard in their area. Ashley Ruiz of McKinstry will speak to us about their approach to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and how this manifests itself throughout the organization and its business dealings. Much time will be spent on its engagement with the community by partnering with carefully selected nonprofits.
