Breakout Rooms

Join your fellow attendees in one of eight breakout rooms segmented by geography.

  1. Seattle 
    Facilitated by a funder supporting nonprofits in the Puget Sound Area with a co-host from the CGN Board.
  2. Portland
    Facilitated by a funder supporting nonprofits who serve the 2.5 million people living in the Portland Metro Area. The Market Manager-PDX will serve as co-host.
  3. San Francisco
    Facilitated by a funder supporting nonprofits in the Bay Area, nonprofits working in and around San Francisco will participate in this breakout room. Your co-host will be our Market Manager-SFO.
  4. Los Angeles
    Our Market Manager-LAX will co-host this breakout room along with a corporate funder that supports nonprofits in this area.
  5.  Phoenix
    The Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale area nonprofits will join this breakout room to hear from a funder that supports nonprofits in this area. Joining the funder will by our Market Manager-PHX
  6. Chicago
    Our Market Manager-ORD will co-host along with a corporate funder that supports nonprofits in Chicagoland.
  7.  Washington, DC
    The DC/M/V area nonprofits will join their colleagues in this breakout room. A local funder that supports this geographical area will be leading the conversation and will be joined by our Market Manager – IAD.
  8.  New York City
    The New York Metropolitan breakout room will be open to the nonprofits working in this area. A local funder that supports this geography will lead the discussion and be joined by our Market Manager – JFK.

The State of the Economy & Projected 2024 Charitable Giving

Back by popular demand, Professor Hodges will update us on the state of the economy, point out how right he was about his predictions for the last half of 2023 (did we get the recession) and move on to what lies ahead in Q2, Q3 and Q4 in 2024. He will tie his predictions into the likely affect this will have on corporate giving.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Trends

Is social impact, that is giving back to the community via nonprofits, being given the same attention as the environment, governance and human capital?    Our panel of social impact professionals from a variety of industries will discuss and give their predictions on how companies are rating the effectiveness of   the nonprofit sector.

Our panel of four companies who spend heavily on nonprofit events, will discuss why they continue to do so and what other companies need to understand about the importance of helping cover the cost of an event.
